Welcome to Swing Junction! Swing Junction focuses on the dances from the 1920s-40s including Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, Balboa, Charleston and Shag. Swing Junction is working with local jazz musicians to keep this part of our history alive in Idaho Falls. Great things to come in February!
We are loving the space at our new permanent location in the Veterans Memorial Building. The music sounds great and the wood floor is wonderful!
There are a few things coming up for February.
Saturday, February 6th is our monthly swing dance featuring the Jazz House Big Band. Details opposite on the blog page.
We're starting a six week Swing Essentials class in mid-February. Class will be Thursdays 8-9pm. If you are interested emails us at: swingjunction1@gmail.com
Saturday, February 27 is the Skyline High School Jazz Band Fundraiser. Swing Junction will be teachings lesson 6:30-7:30. The Jazz House Big Band along with the Skyline Jazz Band will be playing the dance portion. Costs should be announced shortly.
